The Scottish Garden Design Competition showcases the best of Scottish garden design and landscaping.
There are two competition categories, Small Space Gardens and Showcase Gardens, both being judged by a panel of expert judges as well as visitors getting the chance to have their say for the winner of the 'People's Choice Award'

The 2026 Garden Fair brings together a fantastic selection of exhibitors. Browse stalls featuring handcrafted garden furniture, stunning plant pots, inventive gardening tools, and some of the most respected plant nurseries.
Want to pick up some extra gardening tips from the experts? Make sure to come along to Speakers Tent or the Potting Shed Tent to hear some excellent tips and advice on all things horticulture.
The Scottish Gardener's Forum host the wonderful Pallet and Planter Challenge which challenges Scottish based amateur groups and individuals of all ages to design and create a miniature garden. There is no set theme for these gardens but they could represent a feature or event of local importance, or highlight a topic of national or world-wide interest.

Learn from the experts with 'How-to' demonstrations taking place in our historic Walled Garden, sharing a range of gardening tips and tricks for you to try at home.
We want to encourage kids to be a part of the gardening community and reconnect with nature.
Explore our dedicated Kids Zone including hands on garden crafts, bouncy castles, flower face painting, entertainers and more.
Need a boost to get you through the day? Make sure to check out the delicious range of food trucks with tasty treats.
Our Coffee Shop will also be open with a delicious menu of lunches and light bites available inside the Palace.

Access to the vast gardens and grounds surrounding Scone Palace is included in the price of your ticket so do take the chance to go for a woodland walk and visit the giant conifers in the Victorian Pinetum, tour the Kitchen Garden, enjoy the recently opened Walled Garden or get lost in our Murray Star Maze. You can also pre-purchase an upgrade ticket to explore inside the Palace too.
